With my stool series I was interested in looking at old chinese pillows which give off a certain softness, ergonomic curves that bely their material. I was interested in contrasting hard and unyielding fired ceramic with soft, plastic clay. Architectural lines with sinuous curves, resulting in a piece that is comfortable to sit on, despite being made of ceramic.
