CIRCLE Contemporary — based in Cornwall and working globally — presents a carefully considered collection of contemporary painting, textiles, sculpture, original prints and ceramics. The gallery's contemporary style is shaped by artists who live and work in country and coastal places — an exploration of nature and our connection to it.
Spanning two light-filled floors, CIRCLE’s year-round programme of solo and group exhibitions is guided by co-directors Lucy Thorman and John O’Carroll. Lucy works closely with collectors and leading interior designers to place artworks in private and public spaces worldwide, and also offers art consultancy, including installation and advisory services for both commercial and private clients.
John O’Carroll, an internationally recognised contemporary painter, maintains his studio on the gallery’s first floor. He divides his time between the Cornish coast and a winter studio in Egypt’s Western Desert, drawing inspiration from landscapes shaped by elemental forces.
Now in its 11th year, CIRCLE and its artists have been featured in ELLE Decoration, Homes & Gardens, and Wallpaper, cementing the gallery’s reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and elegance.
