Working from her studio in London, Lisa creates paintings that speak to material sensitivity, ecological awareness, and the quiet force of restraint. Her process begins with the land itself — foraging earth minerals, handcrafting watercolours, and painting on off-cut linen. This commitment to sustainability and attention to natural form informs a body of work that is both grounded and contemplative.
“My artistic practice is deeply rooted in sustainability, mindfulness, and respect for the natural world,” Price writes. “This ongoing relationship with the raw elements of the earth is central to how I create and connect with my materials. Each painting tells a story drawn from both urban and rural landscapes, sparking conversations about climate change, the cosmos, and the need to reconnect with the world around us.”
Informed by principles of ecology and care, Price’s work occupies a space between abstraction and landscape. The restrained mark-making, tonal subtlety and thoughtful use of negative space invite prolonged looking — a quiet resistance to acceleration and excess.
Whether installed as singular works or presented in modular pairings, her paintings function as meditative anchors, offering both aesthetic refinement and philosophical depth.
CIRCLE is delighted to welcome Lisa to its core group of artists and will be showing new work throughout the year. Commissions are welcome for those wishing to explore bespoke pieces in dialogue with her practice.
