Ali Enache (b. 1985, Washington, D.C.) is a Los Angeles-based abstract artist known for her minimalist, textural works that explore the fluidity and unpredictability of diluted acrylics on raw canvas.
Embracing the natural imperfections of staining techniques, Enache creates color field paintings that resonate with an organic, understated elegance. Her process involves layering delicate washes of paint and water, often drawing inspiration from the soft, muted tones of nature.
Each piece is built up through dozens of translucent layers, allowing the paint to seep into the canvas fibers, forming rich compositions that invite quiet reflection. Enache’s subdued palettes and harmonic color choices create a sense of calm contemplation, offering a window into the deep emotions and intensity she pours into her work.
Enache is currently represented by Tappan Collective and Wallspace in Los Angeles, Sugarlift in New York, and Freeman Gallery in Sydney and now CIRCLE here in the UK. Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Luxe, Elle Decor, Rue Magazine, Vogue Living, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and more. Her work can be found in private collections across the US and Canada and she has completed numerous custom commissions for collectors and interior designers.
Enache recently exhibited in Tappan Collective’s group show “L.A. MADE” in Los Angeles (October 2023). She also showed a solo body of work at Westpark Home by Katie Monkhouse Interiors outside San Francisco in October 2023.
